Kaimana is a regency in West Papua, Indonesia. The waters of Kaimana are part of the Conservation Area Network of Bird’s Head Seascape of West Papua and the Cendrawasih Bay of Papua, Indonesia, which is currently considered by marine biologists as the center of world marine biodiversity.

Actually, you can visit Kaimana anytime. However, it is best to avoid the windy season and large waves. It is recommended to choose the favorable months, usually falling between October and May. How?

Currently, the best route to Kaimana is by flying via Jakarta to Kaimana (KNG), West Papua, with a transit in Sorong or Manokwari. Garuda Indonesia has also recently launched flights from Bali to Sorong (direct flights on Fridays and Sundays at 2.30 a.m.). So, if you prefer this airline, you can choose to stay overnight in Sorong or go directly to Kaimana.
